Makoa Resorts (“we”, “us”) operates makoaresorts.com and the Makoa Resorts mobile app. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it simple: we collect only what we need to host you well, and we never sell your personal information.
Information we collect
Booking & reservation details. When you book a stay or look up a reservation — on our website or in our app — we collect your name, email address, phone number, billing address, the details of your stay (dates, property, party size), and messages you send us.
Payment information. Card payments are processed by our reservation platform’s PCI-compliant payment processor (Guesty Pay). Your card number is entered directly with the processor and is never stored on our servers or in the app.
Inquiries. If you send an inquiry (contact form, event or group inquiry), we receive the details you submit so our team can reply.
Website analytics. Our website uses standard analytics (such as Google Analytics) and cookies to understand how visitors use the site. Our mobile app contains no advertising or third-party analytics trackers.
How we use your information
To process and manage your reservation; to communicate with you before, during and after your stay (including check-in instructions and door entry codes); to respond to inquiries; to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations; and, if you opt in, to send occasional news and offers (you can unsubscribe anytime).
Sharing
We share reservation data with the service providers who make hosting you possible: our property-management platform (Guesty), its payment processor, and email delivery services. These providers may only use your data to provide services to us. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.
Data retention & security
Reservation records are retained as required for legal, tax and accounting purposes. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to guest information is limited to our team and providers who need it to serve you.
Your choices & rights
You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (subject to records we must keep by law). Email us at reservations@makoaresorts.com and we’ll take care of it.
Children
Our website and app are intended for adults making travel arrangements. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If we update this policy, we’ll post the new version on this page with a new “last updated” date.
